The Strokes – Under Cover of Darkness Video

Watch the recently released video from the The Strokes performing Under Cover Of Darkness. Directed by Warren Fu who has worked with other talented artist such as Mark Ronson, Little Joy, and Daft Punk to name a few.

Set in the Loews Theater in Jersey City. The film features the ornate opera house and four out of the five members playing their instruments with an air of indelible cool. Frontman Julian Casablancas playing with a deck of cards dressed in his signature leather jacket and dark sunglasses. In the video, Julian sings “I’ve been all around this town everybody’s been singing the same song for ten years”- not only does he reference Last Nite but also tosses the mic stand just like in the Last Nite video. Clever. Towards the end of the video we find Casablancas in a tuxedo and joining his fellow Strokes on-stage performing the end of the song with a conductor. The final scene emitting the cohesiveness of the band and signaling that The Strokes are finally back!!!

Album drops on March 21, 2011 in the UK and a day later in the United States.
The band will also appear on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on March 5.
