SF Street Food Festival 2011

The belly rules the mind..  –Spanish Proverb

The 3rd annual SF Street Food Festival devoured the Mission District, of San Francisco, like a fat kid on a CrunchBar. [….Pun intended].

It was crackin’  at Folsom St.: from 22nd to 26th, 23rd to 25th, and from Treat St. to Shotwell St. Even the Cesar Chavez Elementary School parking lot and Parque de los Ninos Unidos, was filled with people and food trucks/vendors. There were 3 DJ booths, at various locations, all playing something different for everyone’s musical tastes. There was everything from Funk to Latin, from Hip Hop to Pop, and even some Dub-step. (Oh, and there was plenty of dancing in the streets, by yours truly! Lol. Stay tuned for the videos!).

The various aromas, of all the different kinds of foods, were hanging in the air. It was an absolutely tantalizing and a beautiful experience.

***Note to self: Don’t ever come to these food festies, on an empty stomach, tho! >_<

Here are some photos– of what went down at the Food Festival.
